Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) RFP 24-162-GS Annual Pump & Motor Rebuild & Repair

Background
The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide services for the removal, rebuild, and reinstallation of Raw Water (RW) or Finished Water (FW) pumps at the EWEB Hayden Bridge Water Filtration Plant located in Springfield, Oregon.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational efficiency and reliability of the water filtration system by maintaining the pumps used in the process.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Removal, rebuild, and reinstallation of one Raw Water (RW) or Finished Water (FW) pump per year over a five-year contract period.
- Initial plans involve working on three FW pumps (Pumps #13, #11, and #8) and two RW pumps (Pumps #2 and #1).
- The contractor will be responsible for providing cranes for pump removal through rooftop access points.
- A Condition Found Report (CFR) will be submitted detailing equipment conditions with any necessary repairs reported prior to execution.
- The contractor must ensure that all metal parts and debris are prevented from falling into pump sump pits during work.
- Motor rebuild tasks include dismantling the motor, performing electrical tests, replacing gaskets and fasteners, cleaning stator windings, and ensuring proper oil levels.
- Pump rebuild tasks include disassembling the pump, replacing bearings and wear rings, polishing shafts, painting components with approved coatings, and ensuring compliance with specified tolerances for balancing.
- All work must be completed before high water demand periods between June and September.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution around November 13, 2024, and will continue until December 31, 2029.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed at the EWEB Hayden Bridge Water Filtration Plant located at 3957 Hayden Bridge Road for Finished Water Pumps and 3999 Marcola Road for Raw Water Pumps in Springfield, Oregon.
