ESB-ODOT Barlow Bldg. Galvanized Water Line to PEX Replacement

Background
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking an Emerging Small Business (ESB) certified contractor to perform work related to the replacement of a galvanized water line with PEX piping at the ODOT Barlow building.

The project is necessary due to the presence of asbestos-containing material in the existing galvanized piping located in the building attic, which requires careful handling and removal. This contract aims to ensure compliance with safety regulations while upgrading the water supply system.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for capping off a segment of the existing galvanized water line and replacing it with PEX piping. The scope includes:
- Capping off the existing galvanized water line segment.
- Installing new PEX piping in accordance with technical specifications outlined in Attachment A, Exhibits 1 and 2 (Technical Specifications and Plans).
- Conducting partial wall demolition as necessary, considering that existing walls may contain trace asbestos.
- All work must include labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and services incidental to completing the project.

Period of Performance
The contract's period of performance is defined as follows: Substantial Completion is expected by June 10, 2025, and Final Completion by June 25, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the ODOT Barlow Construction Office located at 3700 SE 92nd Avenue, Portland, OR 97266.
