Bid on Career Technical Education / Diesel Building Project

Background
The Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC) is issuing an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the Career Technical Education / Diesel Technology Building Project.
The project aims to enhance educational facilities by constructing a new Diesel Technology Building, which aligns with SWOCC's mission to provide quality education and training in technical fields.
The estimated project value is $1,000,000, and the completion date is set for July 2, 2026.

Work Details
The project involves the demolition of existing structures, site preparation, and the construction of a single-story, 4,480 sq. ft. Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB).
This building will include four overhead door bays, two restrooms, a covered outdoor work area, an overhead crane system, and standard amenities.
The work will also require connections to existing underground utilities.
The contractor must coordinate with other trades and/or a general contractor as necessary.
All construction must comply with the 2025 edition of the Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction and any applicable special provisions.

Period of Performance
The anticipated project start date is January 21, 2026, with substantial completion expected by May 21, 2026, and final completion by July 2, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Southwestern Oregon Community College Campus located at 1988 Newmark Avenue, Coos Bay, OR 97420.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Bureau of Labor and Industry (BOLI) wage requirements or Department of Labor (Davis Bacon) wage requirements as applicable.
Bidders are required to disclose first-tier subcontractors if their contract value exceeds $100,000.
A Bid Bond or equivalent security of at least 10% of the total bid amount is required.
Contractors must possess all necessary licenses and certifications to perform the work.
