Bandon State Airport Runway and Taxiway Surface Seal Project

Background
The Bandon State Airport Runway and Taxiway Surface Seal Project is initiated by the Oregon Department of Aviation (ODAV) to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of the airport. The project aims to provide necessary maintenance and improvements to the runway and taxiway surfaces, ensuring compliance with aviation standards.

Work Details
The contract encompasses all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, permits, and services necessary for the completion of construction work as outlined in the Contract Documents. Specific tasks include:

1. Minor Crack Sealing on Runway 16-34, Taxiway A, and Taxiway Connectors A1-A3;
2. Major Wide Crack Sealing on Taxiway A;
3. Asphalt Patching on Taxiway A;
4. Asphalt Repair at the Southwest Corner of Runway 34;
5. Slurry Seal Type I application on Runway 16-34, Taxiway A, and Taxiway Connectors A1-A3;
6. Installation of pavement markings for Runway 16-34, Taxiway A, and Taxiway Connectors A1-A3.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to commence within 10 calendar days upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed in Summer 2025. Substantial completion is anticipated within 11 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, followed by final completion within 30 calendar days after substantial completion.

Place of Performance
All work will be conducted at Bandon State Airport located at Oregon Coast Hwy, Bandon, OR 97411.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the Oregon Secretary of State and licensed with the State Construction Contractors Board (CCB) prior to bidding. They are also required to have a Public Works bond filed with the CCB before starting work on the project. Additionally, bidders must comply with federal Davis-Bacon Act requirements regarding prevailing wage rates.
