ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS - Klamath Community College Childcare Learning Center

Background
The Klamath Community College (KCC) is issuing a solicitation for the construction of a new 28,000 square foot Early Learning Center located on their campus in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
The project aims to enhance educational facilities for early childhood development and includes associated site improvements.

Work Details
The project involves the construction of a new Early Learning Center with a total area of 28,000 square feet.
Specific services include site preparation, foundation work, structural framing, roofing, installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, interior finishes, and landscaping.
The project will also include compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and site tour scheduled for August 19, 2025.

Period of Performance
Construction is anticipated to start no later than September 22, 2025, with substantial completion expected by August 31, 2026.
The desired final completion date is set for October 1, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Klamath Community College campus located at 7390 South 6th Street, Klamath Falls, OR 97603.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the Construction Contractors Board at the time of bid submission.
A surety bond or certified check equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount is required.
Bidders must also submit information regarding first-tier subcontractors within two hours of bid submission.
Additionally, all contractors and subcontractors involved in bids over $100,000 must have a public works bond filed with the Construction Contractors’ Board.
