Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)

Background
The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) is seeking suppliers to provide Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services. The goal of this contract is to ensure that Medicaid members have access to necessary transportation for medical appointments, thereby supporting their overall health and well-being.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive NEMT services, which include but are not limited to:

- Managing transportation logistics
- Ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of members
- Coordinating with healthcare providers
- Maintaining a network of transportation providers
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations including HIPAA.

The contractor must demonstrate experience in serving Medicaid populations and managing transportation services for approximately 400,000 members. Specific tasks include developing policies for service eligibility, scheduling rides, managing a call center for reservations, and providing training for drivers and staff.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last for a period of 12 months with options for renewal based on performance evaluations.

Place of Performance
Services will be provided statewide across Oklahoma, with specific attention to urban and rural areas to ensure equitable access to transportation services.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least five years of experience in providing NEMT services or similar transportation solutions. They must comply with all state regulations regarding insurance and bonding requirements. Additionally, bidders are required to submit financial statements audited by a CPA for the past three years to demonstrate financial stability.
