Background
The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is soliciting for services to support Mid-Del Public Schools with BISSS programming. The BISSS program aims to expand statewide Behavioral Intervention Services in Schools for children, youth, young adults, their families, and their communities. It utilizes a school-wide structural framework with a 3-tiered intervention for identifying and addressing academic and behavioral issues for students.
The program also emphasizes the establishment and maintenance of effective partnerships with participating schools to ensure successful implementation.
Work Details
The bidder is required to provide professional learning to school personnel, including training, technical, and coaching, to increase knowledge and understanding of mental health and substance use among children, youth, and young adults. Additionally, the bidder must establish a supportive structure to participating schools’ staff and to students and their families, membership and facilitation of the school’s Multidisciplinary Team, and services and supports to children, youth, young adults, and their families.
The bidder must also provide reimbursement for travel, mileage, per diem, and lodging for school personnel who attend the trainings on implementation.
Furthermore, the bidder is responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective Multidisciplinary Team to assist with the successful implementation of BISSS.
