08-14-25 RFP Asbestos Abatement & Demolition Services at 8916-8920 SE 29th St

Background
The Midwest City Memorial Hospital Authority, a public trust in Oklahoma, is seeking proposals for the demolition and asbestos abatement of buildings located at 8916 – 8920 SE 29th St, Midwest City, Oklahoma. The goal of this contract is to safely remove hazardous materials and demolish the structures in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive services including:

1. **Asbestos Abatement**: Removal of all asbestos-containing materials per the asbestos survey report, compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations, submission of required notifications to agencies, provision of labor and equipment for complete abatement, obtaining necessary permits, and conducting final clearance inspections before demolition.

2. **Demolition**: Responsible for the demolition and removal of both structures and their contents, disposal of demolition debris, removal of footings and concrete slabs, ensuring clean public streets during the project.

3. **Additional Work**: Plugging two former domestic water wells according to recognized standards and obtaining SWPPP permit for silt control throughout the project.

4. **Utility Disconnects**: Coordination and costs associated with disconnecting utilities such as power, water, sewer, gas, and cable.

5. **Final Grading**: Backfilling excavated areas with suitable material to ensure proper drainage.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon execution of the agreement and must be completed no later than November 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at 8916 – 8920 SE 29th St, Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide evidence of insurance coverage as specified in the RFP including general liability insurance of at least $5 million per occurrence. A performance/payment bond equal to 100% of the final contract price will be required from the successful bidder. Contractors must also maintain Workers' Compensation Insurance as per Oklahoma laws.
