Description

1.1 Scope: This proposal is to provide the City of Columbus with a Universal Term Contract (blanket type) to purchase various wood utility poles. The poles are intended for use at various outdoor locations within the City and will be installed to maintain daily operations or for new installations. The Division of Power will be responsible for the installations. The proposed contract will be in effect through June 30, 2026, with the option to extend for three (3) additional one-year periods. 1.2 Classification: The successful bidder will provide and deliver new and unused wood utility poles as specified. The poles must be delivered on trucks equipped with a self-loader and drivers are required to unload the wood utility poles. The City expects to buy in truckload shipments of 40,000 pounds. Successful bidder must own and maintain their own treatment facility where the City's wood utility poles are treated as specified. Bidders are required to show experience in providing this type of material and/or services as detailed in these specifications. 1.2.1 Bidder Experience: The offeror must submit an outline of its experience and work history in these types of materials and/or warranty service for the past five years. 1.2.2 Bidder References: The offeror shall have documented proven successful contracts from at least four customers that the offeror supports that are similar in scope, complexity, and cost to the requirements of this specification. 1.3 For additional information concerning this bid, including procedures on how to submit a proposal, you must go to the City of Columbus Vendor Services web site at http://vendors.columbus.gov/sites/public and view this bid number.
