Walk-in Freezer Repair at Sandusky Fisheries Station

Background
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, specifically the Division of Wildlife, is seeking bids for the repair of a walk-in freezer at the Sandusky Fisheries Research Station. The mission of this agency is to manage and conserve Ohio's natural resources, including wildlife and fisheries. The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational efficiency of the freezer, which is critical for the storage of fish and other biological samples.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Demolition and disposal of one (1) existing evaporator.
- Demolition and disposal of one (1) existing condenser.
- Refrigerant recovery in compliance with the Clean Air Act of 1990.
- Installation of one (1) new evaporator equivalent to Heatcraft CEL0065.
- Installation of one (1) condensing unit equivalent to Heatcraft CCH0022 on an existing indoor stand.
- Installation of soft copper refrigeration piping.
- Creation of a condensate drain through the wall.
- Implementation of a temperature control system.
- Power wiring from existing circuits.
- Start-up services for the new equipment.
- Payment of permit fees associated with installation.
- Provision of a one (1) year warranty on labor and a standard equipment manufacturer’s warranty covering parts for one year.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed within a timeframe specified by the Ordering Agency upon issuance of a purchase order. It is typically expected to be completed promptly after contract award.

All work will be performed at the Sandusky Fisheries Research Station located at 305 E. Shoreline Drive, Sandusky, OH 44870.
