Urbana Wildlife Area building demolition

Background
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), specifically the Division of Wildlife, is seeking contractors to perform demolition work at the Urbana Wildlife Area in Salem Township, Urbana, Ohio. The goal of this contract is to safely demolish and remove three dilapidated structures and six concrete slabs as part of the agency's mission to maintain and enhance wildlife habitats.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the demolition and removal of three buildings: a wood-framed workshop (Building A), a wood-framed barn with a concrete slab and retaining wall (Building B), and a wood-framed barn with gravel floors (Building C). Additionally, five concrete slabs will be demolished and removed. The dimensions of the concrete slabs are as follows:

- Site A: 25' x 180'
- Site B: 20' x 100'
- Site C: 25' x 75'
- Site D: 20' x 30'
- Site E: 30' x 105'

All structures have been inspected for asbestos, which has been abated. The contractor must complete all necessary permits and reporting for demolition activities, including OEPA demolition permits and ODNR well sealing. Foundations must be removed to a depth of three feet or rendered permeable. All debris must be hauled off-site, landscaping within ten feet must be managed appropriately, and all holes from demolition must be filled, graded, seeded, and strawed before final payment.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed by June 15th, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific requirements including certifications related to Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) or Veteran-Friendly Business certifications.
