The City of Columbus is accepting Bids for the Turnberry Golf Course Irrigation Improvement work for which consists of replacement of irrigation pumps and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the scope of services set forth in this Invitation for Bid (IFB). WHERE & WHEN TO SUBMIT BID Bids will be received by the City of Columbus, Department of Recreation & Parks, Design & Construction, until December 2, 2024 at 2:00 pm local time. The bid should be emailed to Mike Musser, mrmusser@columbus.gov, with the subject stating, Turnberry Golf Course Irrigation Improvements Company Name . SCHEDULE The Contractor must perform all work between December 9, 2024 and April 1st, 2024. Weekend work is permitted. All work must be substantially complete by March 1st, 2024. These are strict timelines that cannot be adjusted due to facility programming and access.
Background
The City of Columbus is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Turnberry Golf Course Irrigation Improvement project. The goal of the contract is to replace irrigation pumps and perform other necessary work to enhance the irrigation system at the golf course, aligning with the city's mission to maintain and improve recreational facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Removing and replacing two pump wet ends, column pipes, and shafts through the motor.

2. Reconditioning the existing pump head and rebuilding the stuffing box.

3. Restoring all disturbed ground back to conditions that conform to CRPD Golf Course specifications.

4. Conducting on-site testing and tuning of the irrigation system with CRPD Golf Section staff to ensure functionality according to required specifications for MCI controls.

5. Cleaning during installation and upon completion, removing all excess materials, soil, debris, and equipment from the site.

Period of Performance
The work must be performed between December 9, 2023, and April 1, 2024, with all work substantially complete by March 1, 2024.

The contract will be performed at Turnberry Golf Course located at 7789 Tussing Road, Pickerington, OH, 43147.
