Subway Tunnel Repurposing

Background
The City of Cincinnati is seeking information from potential sources regarding their ability to provide conceptual proposals for the reuse of the existing abandoned Cincinnati Subway tunnel.

The tunnel, approximately 2 miles long and built in the mid-1920s for rail transit, has never been utilized for that purpose. The City aims to gather ideas for utilizing the tunnel for commercial or other purposes, which may inform future procurement decisions.

Work Details
The City is looking for firms capable of preparing and submitting conceptual proposals for utilizing any portion or segment of the existing subway tunnel.

The proposed use must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, including building and zoning codes. The existing 48-inch watermain will be removed from the tunnel prior to any implementation.
