Sinkhole Repair Project

Background
The Sinkhole Repair Project is issued by the Adjutant General's Department of Ohio, specifically for the 180th Fighter Wing located in Swanton, OH. The mission of this project is to address various sinkhole-related issues that affect stormwater management and surface stability at the facility. The goal is to restore functionality and safety through comprehensive repairs and construction.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to complete the following tasks:

1. **Rebuild Catch Basin Structure (B119)**: Saw cut and remove required asphalt; reconstruct the top half of the catch basin to meet specifications.

2. **Install Concrete Apron (B119)**: Form and pour an 8’ x 8’ x 8” reinforced concrete apron around the catch basin for stability and drainage.

3. **Storm Pipe Repair and Asphalt Restoration (B119)**: Excavate to access storm pipe; repair damaged sections; backfill with graded stone; restore asphalt and compact to match existing grade.

4. **Sinkhole Investigation and Repair (B160)**: Excavate to determine sinkhole cause; perform necessary repairs based on findings; backfill with graded stone; restore asphalt.

5. **Mortar Joint and Asphalt Repair (B124)**: Access storm structure; patch mortar joints; backfill with graded stone; restore asphalt areas.

6. **Full Catch Basin and Asphalt Replacement (B127)**: Demolish existing catch basin; excavate area; replace with new structure; backfill with graded stone; restore asphalt areas.

Period of Performance
Work will commence upon authorization from the 180th Fighter Wing, with duration dependent on subsurface conditions and material availability.

The contract will be performed at the 180th Fighter Wing, located in Swanton, OH.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a completed Bidder Certification, including compliance with federal, state, and local construction standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental protocols. Bidders are also required to have MBE, EDGE, VBE, WBE certifications if applicable.
