Sandusky Plumbing Maintenance and Repair

Background
The Ohio Department of Veterans Services (ODVS) / Ohio Veterans Home (OVH) in Sandusky is seeking bids for Plumbing Maintenance and Repair services. The goal of this contract is to ensure operational reliability and extend the service life of plumbing systems at the facility located at 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870. Only suppliers listed on index number MAC043 will be considered for this contract.

Work Details
The contractor will provide plumbing maintenance and repair services including but not limited to:
- Boilers
- Steam systems
- Sanitation lines
- Macerator pumps
- Water pumps
- Motors and controllers for water systems
- Hot water tanks
- Underground water lines
- Emergency plumbing response.

All work must comply with applicable plumbing codes, the Ohio Building Code, safety regulations, and industry best practices. The contractor is responsible for diagnostics of failures and recommendations for system upgrades or long-term solutions. Services must be performed by licensed plumbers (pipefitters or steamfitters) and all work must adhere to ADA and OSHA standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will be valid for a period of two months from the start date until August 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Ohio Veterans Home located at 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.

Bidder Requirements
Bids are only accepted from suppliers on index number MAC043. Contractors must provide proof of qualifications upon request and comply with all security check-in procedures at ODVS/OVH. Additionally, contractors must secure necessary permits and licenses for the work performed. A drug-free workplace policy must be adhered to by all contractor employees while on State property.
