Residential Housing Demolition 2025-2026

Background
The City of Akron, Ohio, through its Department of Public Service and Bureau of Engineering, is seeking proposals for the demolition of 71 residential structures as part of the Residential Housing Demolition project for the years 2025-2026.
The goal of this contract is to safely and efficiently remove these structures to facilitate future development and improve community aesthetics.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete demolition of 71 residential structures. This includes:
- Debris removal from the site.
- Backfilling and grading of the land post-demolition.
- Application of topsoil and seeding in accordance with specified guidelines.
All work must comply with the City of Akron Construction and Material Specifications (CMS) and any supplemental specifications provided.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period defined in the proposal documents, specifically during the years 2025-2026.

Place of Performance
The work will take place within the city limits of Akron, Ohio, at designated residential sites identified in the project documentation.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all local regulations and requirements set forth by the City of Akron, including but not limited to:
- Submission of a proposal guarantee for bids exceeding $100,000.00.
- Compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity provisions.
- Provision of a Contract Performance Bond if awarded a contract exceeding $100,000.00.
- Insurance requirements as specified in the contract documents.
