Reed Road Water Park Finish Replacement Design Services

Background
The City of Upper Arlington is seeking submissions from qualified firms to provide Design Professional Services for the Reed Road Water Park Finish Replacement project. The goal of this contract is to create drawings and specifications for the removal of existing pool finishes and their replacement with new finishes at two outdoor adjoined pools. This project follows an assessment conducted in August 2015, which identified the need for repairs, including the replacement of pool finishes that have been spot repaired multiple times and are now in need of full replacement.

Work Details
The scope of services includes:
1. Removal of existing pool finishes.
2. Correction of pool joints, including removal of pool finish at joints, replacement of tile work, and sealant replacement.
3. Review of pool shell concrete after finish removal and correction of any dilapidations found.
4. Replacement of pool finish with quartz aggregate finish.

The consultant will also prepare and maintain a project schedule, prepare plans, details, general notes, and specifications for construction documents. Additionally, they will respond to Requests for Information (RFI), provide information and clarifications for client addenda, and review shop drawings and submittals from the contractor.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period that includes final design, reviews, approvals, and construction as specified in the project schedule prepared by the consultant.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Reed Road Water Park located in Upper Arlington, Ohio.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a Statement of Qualifications by October 14, 2025. No bid bond or performance bond is required for this contract. Bidders must comply with all specified conditions regarding submission through the City's online bid system and are prohibited from contacting City officials regarding this solicitation outside the IonWave inquiry process.
