Marion State Park 15 Pallets 7317 Warner Huffer Road Circleville, OH 43113 BUNDLED FIREWOOD REQUIREMENTS: Firewood must be hardwood grown within the State of Ohio to prevent the transportation of invasive species. Softwood is prohibited under this contract. Firewood must be fully seasoned and free of rot and mold. If not kiln dried, the seasoning period must be a minimum of 3 months. Each bundle must contain split pieces of firewood that are 14 to 18 inches in length. Each piece must be within 3 and 6 inches in diameter. Each bundle must be 0.8 to 1 cubic foot in volume. Each bundle must be contained using twine, rubber bands, a burlap or other non-plastic sack that is tied closed, or minimal shrink wrapping to prevent the bundle from losing wood pieces when handled. Bundles must have a handle for ease of carrying. Bundles must be labelled in accordance with all applicable Federal and State requirements. The label must include information on bundle size and wood origin at minimum. DELIVERY: Pallets must be individually wrapped in plastic for delivery. Each pallet must contain 65 bundles of firewood. Delivery must be made during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, with the exception of State holidays, or as mutually agreed. Deliveries must occur within 5 business days after receipt of order. The Contractor must comply with all applicable State and Federal requirements regarding firewood restrictions to prevent the transportation of invasive species. The Contractor must be able to deliver a minimum of 15 pallets at a time. Pallets will be offloaded by park staff. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State.
