PWC Headlands Beach Concrete stamped pad, pillars and sidewalk

Background
Headlands State Park, located at 9601 Headlands Rd, Mentor, OH 44060, is seeking to enhance its entrance with a new archway. The goal of this contract is to construct an entrance arch that includes concrete footers and stone/brick facade pillars, along with a stamped and colored concrete pad for pedestrian use. The scripted arch is being procured separately.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services and products:

1. **COLUMNS**: Construct cinder block columns with exterior faux sandstone veneer matching the park's entrance sign. Each column will be 24" wide x 24" deep x 120" tall and will require independent concrete footers due to sandy substrate. Stainless steel brackets must be installed on each post to support the spanning arch sign.

2. **STAMPED CONCRETE PAD**: A 10' x 10' concrete pad, 4" thick, will be constructed on a compacted base. The concrete will be tinted (color TBD) and stamped in an Ashlar pattern with a compass rose stamped in the center.

3. **OPTIONAL CONCRETE PATHWAY**: An optional bid for a 36" wide concrete pathway leading from the parking lot to the archway may be included. This pathway will also require a compacted base and will be approximately 50' long, with similar specifications for thickness and tinting as the pad.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon approval of the purchase order and must be completed by May 15, 2025.
