PWC Headlands Beach Concrete stamped pad, pillars and sidewalk

Background
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is seeking to enhance the entrance of Headlands State Park by constructing an entrance arch. This project aims to improve pedestrian access and aesthetics at the park, aligning with ODNR's mission to manage and protect Ohio's natural resources.

The contract involves the installation of concrete footers, stone/brick facade pillars, and a stamped concrete pad for the archway.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:

1. **Cinder Block Columns**: Construct cinder block columns with exterior faux sandstone veneer matching the park’s entrance sign. Each column will have dimensions of 24" wide x 24" deep x 120" tall, supported by independent concrete footers that touch the adjacent concrete pad.

2. **Stamped Concrete Pad**: A 10' x 10' stamped concrete pad, 4" thick, will be installed with a substantial layered and compacted base. The concrete will be tinted (color TBD) and stamped in an Ashlar pattern with a compass rose in the center.

3. **Optional Sidewalk**: An optional bid for a 36" wide concrete pathway leading from the parking lot to the archway may be included, approximately 50' in length, also requiring a substantial base and similar tinting as the pad.

4. **Shipping Costs**: All shipping costs must be included in the bid amount.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon approval of a purchase order and must be completed by May 15, 2025.

The work will be performed at Headlands Beach State Park located at 9601 Headlands Rd, Mentor, OH 44060.
