Background
Miami University is seeking proposals for a Pulse Field Electrophoresis System and Nucleic Acid QC System Combination to replace the BioAnalyzer2100, which reached end of life in 2023. The goal is to acquire equipment that can perform quality control (QC) checks for both short-read and long-read next-generation sequencing (NGS) libraries, as well as total RNA and genomic DNA isolations.
Work Details
The contract includes the provision of:
1. A Pulse Field Electrophoresis System with a range of about 100 bp to 10,000 bp for short read NGS libraries.
2. A Nucleic Acid QC System capable of QC checks for long-read NGS libraries (10,000 ~ 100,000 bp) and genomic DNA isolations (150,000 bp).
3. Starter kits (consumables) for the systems.
4. On-site training for staff on the operation of the equipment.
5. Service and warranty provisions for the equipment.
Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be effective from April 10, 2026, with installation completed by May 10, 2026. Service will continue until May 31, 2032.
