Passenger Information Signs Preventive Maintenance & Repair

Background
The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA), also known as Cincinnati Metro, is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio established to provide public transportation services. SORTA operates various transit services, including fixed-route mass transit, paratransit, and micro-transit across the City of Cincinnati and surrounding counties. The authority seeks a qualified vendor for a three-year contract to ensure reliable operation and accurate real-time public information through maintenance and repair of Passenger Information Signs.

Work Details
The contractor will provide preventive maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, installation, and support services for SORTA's Passenger Information Signs. Specific tasks include:
1) Maintaining an asset list with serial numbers and part numbers;
2) Reprogramming equipment as needed;
3) Conducting preventive maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations;
4) Establishing a routine maintenance schedule;
5) Performing software and firmware updates;
6) Installing new signs as required;
7) Removing debris post-work.

The contractor must have at least five years of relevant experience in digital signage maintenance and repair.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of three years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various sign locations within SORTA's service area in Southwest Ohio.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate at least five years of relevant work experience in similar types of maintenance and repair. They must also provide proof of small business certification from a recognized third-party certifier if claiming small business status. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to engage small businesses in their proposals to meet a participation goal of five percent.
