ONIC/OIU Flooring Install and Refinishing Maumee

Background
The Ohio Department of Public Safety / Facility Management (ODPS) is undertaking a multi-phase carpet replacement initiative across designated floors within the ONIC/OIU Facility located in Maumee, OH. This solicitation is aimed at purchasing and installing new flooring and polished concrete finishing as part of this initiative. The project may be funded in stages, allowing ODPS to issue limited awards based on organizational needs and available funding.

Work Details
The Independent Contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Remove existing flooring and wall base;
2. Prepare the substrate for new installations;
3. Install new carpet tile (Tarkett 11907 Aftermath III SD or approved equal) totaling 7,682 sq ft, with specific areas designated for ONIC (5,596 sq ft) and OIU (2,086 sq ft);
4. Install polished concrete finishes in designated areas totaling 1,746 sq ft;
5. Install walk-off carpet tile (Tarkett 4837 Assertive Action or approved equal) totaling 204 sq ft;
6. Install rubber cove base (Johnsonite/Tarkett) in all flooring areas;
7. Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements; and
8. Provide all ancillary materials including adhesives and installation supplies.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from receipt of a purchase order through June 30, 2027, with potential renewals upon mutual agreement not exceeding twenty-four months.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the ONIC/OIU Facility located at 1722 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee, Ohio 43537.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with EDGE participation requirements if the contract exceeds $50,000, ensuring a minimum of 5% participation in labor and/or materials. A valid BWC certificate and proof of participation in the BWC Drug Free Safety Program are required upon award. Additionally, bidders must submit a Bid Guaranty along with their proposal.
