ODRC Report in Center Intercom Project DRCB-25-3378

Background
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) oversees the supervision of over 49,000 offenders in Ohio at 28 state prisons. Their mission is to reduce recidivism among those they touch. The ODRC is soliciting competitive sealed bids for an intercom system to enhance communication during critical events such as pending arrests, active shooters, and medical emergencies within their Cincinnati Report in Center located at 7710 Reading Road, Suite 001, Cincinnati OH 45237.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for installing a wireless one-way paging or intercom system that provides alerts and notifications to staff and parolees. The system must include:

- A main base station for live-voice announcements and predetermined messages;
- The ability to communicate from each room with programmable buttons;
- Wall-mounted speakers providing audible coverage throughout the suite;
- Zone capabilities for segmented communication;
- Compatibility with the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP);
- Two hours of onsite equipment orientation/training;
- Installation of new equipment into the office suite;
- System programming/configuration.

The contractor must also ensure that no current intercom system exists at the site.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence upon award and continue through June 30, 2025, with potential renewals by mutual agreement not exceeding five years total.

The work will be performed at the Cincinnati Report in Center located at 7710 Reading Road, Suite 001, Cincinnati OH 45237.
