ODNR Division of Parks and Watercraft Diving Services Contract

Project Background The Division of Parks and Watercraft operates 75 state parks, which contain 50 plus dams and 11 lock facilities around the state. Dams are located across rivers and at state park facilities. Dams are made up of many appurtenant structures such as spillways, lake drains, inlet and outlet channels, lock and gate structures, internal drains, and valves. Inspection, maintenance, and construction underwater is needed to maintain the safe operation of these structures. Specifications/Scope of WorkThe anticipated work for this contract could include the following: Underwater inspection of lake drain towers to inspect all components. Repair/replace lake drain components: such as but not limited to stem guides, lake drain shafts, couplers, and valves. Align drain components to manufacturer specifications. Underwater construction: drill concrete, cut metal and assemble components under water. Inspect spillway systems and related components: wingwalls, drain outlets, and valves. Inspect trash rack components along inlets and drains. Inspect submerged oil and gas related infrastructure. Provide measurements of underwater infrastructure. Provide drawings, digital photos, and digital video of work performed. Minimum Qualifications: Registered Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio 10 years or more of related experience Fully Insured ADCI Certified Commercial Divers OSHA Confined Space Certified CPR and First Aid Certified Oxygen Provider Certified USCG Licensed Master Captain Client Expectations: Awarded contractor must be willing to travel to sites around the state. Awarded contractor must be able to respond within 48 hours when an urgent issue is identified. Awarded contractor will provide all needed tools, equipment, and repair supplies.
