Notice to Bidders - 2025 County Chip Seal and Fog Seal Program

Background
The Miami County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for the 2025 Chip Seal and Fog Seal Program. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of various county and township roads as part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve infrastructure in Miami County, Ohio.

Work Details
The contract involves furnishing all labor, material, and equipment necessary for the execution of the Chip Seal and Fog Seal Program on various county and township roads. Bidders must adhere to specifications available at the Miami County Engineer's Office. The work will be conducted on a unit price basis, with an Engineer’s Estimate for the base bid set at $423,360.00 (or $536,311.00 including all alternates). The minimum wage for labor must comply with prevailing wage rates as determined by the Department of Industrial Relations under Section 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to commence following the bid opening on May 22, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on various county and township roads within Miami County, Ohio.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders are required to submit a BID GUARANTY as a guarantee for entering into a contract if selected. This can be in the form of a bond for the full amount of the bid or a certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit equal to 10% of the bid amount. Bids must be submitted in writing using proposal blanks available at the Miami County Engineer's Office.
