FY25 NODC Campus Landscaping

Background
The Northwest Ohio Developmental Center (NODC) is operated by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) and serves individuals with developmental and other disabilities. This solicitation is for campus landscaping services aimed at improving the landscape around the pond viewing area of the NODC campus, which consists of 14 buildings located at 1101 S. Detroit Avenue, Toledo, OH 43614.

Work Details
The contractor will provide landscaping services that include trimming trees, removing dead trees, and enhancing the landscape around the pond viewing area. The contractor must hold all applicable licenses and certifications required to perform these duties. All work must be performed by trained and qualified personnel directly employed and supervised by the contractor.

The contractor is responsible for maintaining a safe work area, using OSHA-approved barricades when necessary, securing tools and materials, and cleaning up refuse at the end of each workday. Additionally, all parts, labor, and fees associated with acquiring necessary permits and engineering services must be included in the proposal.

Period of Performance
The initial awarded contract is estimated to become effective on April 18, 2025, and remain effective through June 30, 2025.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must not have any unresolved findings for recovery under Section 9.24 of the Ohio Revised Code. All individuals providing services must pass a criminal background check as per DODD regulations. Bidders are required to submit a Standard Affirmation and Disclosure Form and a Contractor Information Form as part of their proposal.

No subcontracting is allowed without prior approval from NODC.
