Music Therapy for Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare FY26-27

Background
The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is seeking proposals for Music Therapy Services at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare, a 260-bed inpatient facility for acute mentally ill adults.
The mission of OhioMHAS is to provide statewide leadership in mental health and addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery systems that are effective and valued by all Ohioans.

Work Details
The contractor will provide on-site music therapy services to patients at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare.
Specific services include conducting group or individual music therapy sessions for various units within NBH, participating in patient evaluations, attending treatment team meetings, and completing mandated documentation and charting according to NBH policies as well as state and federal requirements.
The contractor is expected to work up to 20 hours per week throughout the duration of the contract. All necessary work areas and instruments will be provided by NBH.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare located at 1756 Sagamore Road, Northfield, Ohio 44067.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be State of Ohio Board Certified Music Therapists and submit current certification.
They must not have an unresolved finding for recovery under Section 9.24 of the Ohio Revised Code. Additionally, contractors must comply with ethical standards and conflict of interest requirements as outlined in the RFP.
