Msd Lawn Care & Landscaping Service

Background
The City of Cincinnati is issuing this Invitation to Bid for lawn care and landscaping services for various properties managed by the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD). The goal of this contract is to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of these properties through regular maintenance services, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive lawn care and landscaping services, including but not limited to: mowing (up to 24 times per year), trimming, general landscaping, clearing brush, snow removal, and maintaining lots, trails, driveways, parking lots, fenced areas, and improved facilities.

Specific tasks include:
- Weed eating along sidewalks and structures
- Pavement edging
- Debris removal from mowing areas
- Maintaining a weed-free condition in landscaped areas
- Herbicide applications as needed
- A six-step seasonal lawn treatment program at designated locations.

The contractor must also ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding pesticide application.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins on the effective date of the award and ends on December 31st, 2026. There are options for two additional twelve-month renewals at the discretion of the City.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various MSD treatment plants and other properties owned or managed by the City of Cincinnati.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess an Ohio Commercial Pesticide Applicator License for certain sections of work. They must also be registered under Vendor Self Service (VSS) at the time of award. Additionally, bidders are required to comply with non-discrimination policies and may need to submit a DEI 147 form regarding equal employment opportunity practices.
