Maintenance, Repair, and Service of Elevators

Background
The City of Cincinnati is seeking bids for the maintenance, repair, and service of elevators, escalators, and dumbwaiters for various city agencies. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all equipment operates safely and efficiently in compliance with applicable safety codes and regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide maintenance and repair services including:

1. Routine maintenance to maintain original speed, capacity, and performance of elevators, escalators, and dumbwaiters.
2. Minor repairs not exceeding $100,000 per incident.
3. Monthly service tests, annual safety tests, and full load tests as per the service level indicated in the bid form.
4. Call-back service for emergency adjustments within two hours of request.
5. Maintenance of cleanliness in machine rooms and compliance with OSHA standards during work.
6. Provision of all necessary labor, parts, materials for cleaning, maintenance, inspection, and minor repairs.
7. Maintenance of a stock of replacement parts at the work site to ensure timely repairs.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will end on June 30, 2026. There are options for two additional one-year renewals until June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various city locations in Cincinnati as specified by the City agencies.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years documented experience in elevator inspection, maintenance, and repair services. They must provide at least three references from similar clients completed within the past five years. Bidders are required to comply with the City’s SBE and M/WBE programs and must be registered to submit a bid.
