Maintenance and Service of Elevators

Background
The City of Cincinnati is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for maintenance services of elevators, escalators, and dumbwaiters for various City agencies. The goal is to ensure that all equipment operates safely and efficiently, adhering to applicable safety codes and standards. This contract is specifically for routine maintenance and does not cover major repairs or overhauls.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide comprehensive maintenance services including:

1. Regular inspections and maintenance of elevators, escalators, and dumbwaiters in compliance with ASME A17.1 safety codes.
2. Performance of periodic tests including full load and annual tests required for the elevators and dumbwaiters.
3. Maintenance of original contract speed, capacity, performance time, door operation times, signal dispatching times, and cleanliness of machine rooms and hoist ways.
4. Provision of OSHA-approved barricades during work exposed to the public.
5. Call-back service within two hours for emergency requests from the Owner.
6. Maintenance of a stock of replacement parts at the site to ensure prompt service without interruptions.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins on the effective start date and ends on June 30, 2026, with options for two additional one-year renewals until June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout the City of Cincinnati as specified by different City departments.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the City's Vendor Self Service website to submit a bid. They must comply with Living Wage provisions set forth in Cincinnati Municipal Code Chapter 317 regarding minimum wage requirements based on hours worked annually. Additionally, bidders are required to adhere to non-discrimination policies as outlined in the City’s Municipal Code Chapters 323 (SBE Program) and 324 (M/WBE Program).
