Background
The City of Sheffield Lake is issuing this solicitation for construction inspection and administration services related to a sidewalk installation project. The goal is to enhance pedestrian access along Walker Road and fill gaps in the sidewalk network on Lake Breeze Road, contributing to the city's infrastructure development and safety.

Work Details
The services required under this contract include:

1. Construction Inspection and Administration for sidewalk installation on Walker Road from Guenther Park to the City’s East Corporation Limit and on Lake Breeze Road from Holl Avenue to U.S. 6, covering approximately 0.97 miles.

2. Installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) on Walker Road.

3. A project team must include personnel with specific ODOT prequalification categories:
- Project Inspector 1 (1 required)
- Project Inspector 2 (1 required)
- Traffic Signals & Lighting Inspector (1 required)
- Soils & Aggregate Inspector (1 required)
- Construction Engineer Level 2 (1 required)

4. Duties include engineering and supervisory responsibilities, materials management, daily field engineering, inspection, documentation of quantities, contractor payment processing, claims management, and compliance with prevailing wage laws.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance is from June 2026 to October 2026, with anticipated authorization to proceed by June 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Sheffield Lake, Ohio, specifically along Walker Road and Lake Breeze Road.

Bidder Requirements
Firms must meet prequalification requirements set by ODOT for construction inspection activities. Only individuals are eligible for prequalification in these roles. Additionally, firms must not be suspended or debarred from federal contracts. Compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is mandatory.
