Landscaping for 4 Watershed and CRPD Shared Locations

Background
Columbus Recreation and Parks is seeking bids for landscaping services across four designated locations. The agency's mission includes maintaining recreational spaces for public enjoyment. This contract aims to ensure the upkeep of these areas through various landscaping tasks.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services at the specified locations:

1. **Mowing Requirements**: Perform 31 weekly mows from April 1, 2025, to October 31, 2025, excluding natural areas. Mowing height set at 3 inches; ground litter must be cleared before mowing.

2. **Aerating and Seeding**: Aerate all turf areas each Spring as directed by the CRPD account manager using a solid tine or plug pulling device. After aeration, broadcast Tall Fescue grass seed at a rate of sixty pounds per acre.

3. **Hard Surfacing Requirements**: Edge concrete sidewalks monthly and clear all hard surfaces post-lawn maintenance, including parking lots and sidewalks. Remove all ground litter from each location.

4. **Landscape Requirements**: Conduct bi-weekly maintenance (every 14 days) on landscaped areas from April 1, 2025, to October 31, 2025, totaling 16 service occurrences. This includes weeding, deadheading, trimming, and general maintenance of flower beds located at McKnight and Lashutka sites. No overspray on desirable plants is allowed; report dead plants to the CRPD Account Manager.

Additional tasks include spring clean-up (edging, debris removal), mulch installation in April (uniform application not exceeding 2 inches), pre-emergent applications in April and July, general fertilization in May, trimming shrubs as needed, autumn clean-up (leaf removal), and reporting any onsite issues such as vandalism or safety concerns to the CRPD account manager. A weekly report of completed tasks must be emailed after each visit.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from April 1, 2025, through October 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at four locations:
- Lashutka Event Center (3329 Riverside Drive)
- Discovery Education Boating Facility (9610 Riverside Drive)
- McKnight Outdoor Education Center (3228 Indian Village Road)
- Twin Lakes Recreation Area (St. Rt. 745 at Harriot Road).
