Killdeer Plains Water Control Structure Replacement at GTR West and Pond 3

Background
The Ohio Division of Wildlife is issuing a contract for the replacement of water control structures at the Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area located in Marseilles Township, Wyandot County, Ohio.
The goal of this contract is to enhance water management capabilities within the wildlife area, which is crucial for maintaining the habitat and supporting wildlife populations.

Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks:
1. Task 1 – 'Pond 3' AgriDrain Water Control Structure Replacement:
a. Remove and dispose of an existing concrete riser (7 feet H x 48 inches W), 15 feet of concrete pipe (18 inches diameter) leading to the pond, and 25 feet of concrete pipe leading towards the woods. Disposal must occur off state property.
b. Install a new 8-foot AgriDrain control structure provided by the Ohio Division of Wildlife after proper disposal of the old structure.
c. The new structure will be installed with an 18-inch diameter pipe, following manufacturer guidelines, ensuring it reaches Pond 3 on the north end and empties into a ditch on the south end.
d. After installation, use topsoil as fill if needed, regrade, and reseed disturbed areas with grass seed.
2. Task 2 – 'GTR West' AgriDrain Water Control Structure Replacement:
a. Remove and dispose of an existing concrete riser and pipes as specified in Task 1.
b. Install a new 8-foot AgriDrain control structure provided by the Ohio Division of Wildlife.
c. Follow similar installation procedures as outlined in Task 1.
d. Regrade and reseed disturbed areas post-installation.

Period of Performance
The contract work must be completed no later than June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area located at 19100 County Highway 115, Harpster, Ohio 43323.
