Huron Fishing Access Asphalt Sealing and Striping

Background
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is issuing this solicitation for the purpose of sealing and striping asphalt roads and parking areas at the Huron Fishing Access.
The goal of this contract is to maintain the accessibility and safety of public access areas, aligning with ODNR's mission to manage and conserve Ohio's natural resources.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:
1. **Sealcoating**: Approximately 242,000 square feet of asphalt will be sealed.
2. **Crack Sealing**: Clean proposed cracks 3/8" and larger using forced air equipment and broom to remove all debris. Seal cracks with a hot rubberized sealant, banding them with a squeegee for improved adhesion. Sanding may be required in high traffic areas to minimize tracking.
3. **Commercial Sealcoating**: Clean the surface using forced air equipment and broom, removing all debris. Apply spot primer to petroleum stains for adhesion. Use Sealmaster coal tar sealer at a rate of 0.10 gallon per square yard, mixed with 2-3 lbs. of sand per gallon; other brands must be approved by the owner.
4. **Striping**: Re-stripe existing designs in yellow using latex, fast-drying, high visibility traffic marking paint as per manufacturer specifications, including all ADA markings, crosswalks, and miscellaneous markings. Technical data sheets for selected paint materials must be provided to the owner.
5. **Phased Work Plan**: The work must be completed in phases to maintain public access, requiring approval from the owner prior to execution.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon receipt of an approved purchase order and must be completed by June 30, 2025.

The work will take place at Huron Fishing Access located at 3 Cleveland Rd. East, Huron OH 44839.
