FY25 Remote Patient Monitoring RFP
Background
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) and The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (James) are seeking a fully integrated, state-of-the-art remote monitoring (RM) system to manage the health of patients with chronic and specialty conditions. The goal is to improve care management, reduce overall costs, decrease healthcare resource utilization, ensure ease of use for clinicians and patients, integrate with Epic EMR and remote monitoring tools, provide access to display results in the Epic EMR, establish a reimbursement structure for financial sustainability, meet compliance and safety standards, adapt to a robust academic health system operation, ensure equitable treatment of patients across diverse populations, and comply with State and Federal regulations including FDA/FCC/AABB/CAP/Joint Commission standards as well as standard healthcare data protocols such as HL7 (including FHIR), LOINC, and/or DICOM when applicable.
Work Details
The contractor is required to provide a fully integrated, state-of-the-art remote monitoring (RM) system that meets the specified requirements. This includes ensuring the highest quality of care, safety, user experience, and ease of use for patients and clinicians outside of the OSUWMC and James acute and hospital setting. The system should enable improved care management of patients while reducing overall costs and decreasing healthcare resource utilization.
It should align with operational processes within the medical center, provide an integrated and/or interfaced solution that sends and receives data from sources such as an Epic EMR and remote monitoring tools, enable access to display results in the Epic EMR, establish a reimbursement structure for financial sustainability of the program.
It must meet or exceed all compliance and safety standards for a remote monitoring system, be adaptable to a robust academic health system operation, ensure equitable treatment of patients across diverse populations contributing to the goal of reducing health disparities without increasing healthcare inequity.
Additionally, it must meet all State and Federal regulations including FDA/FCC/AABB/CAP/Joint Commission standards as well as standard healthcare data protocols such as HL7 (including FHIR), LOINC, and/or DICOM when applicable.
