Description

NODC is looking to improve an outdoor area, near the pond to use to therapeutic and a serence atmosphere.
Background
The Northwest Ohio Developmental Center (NODC), operated by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), is a Medicaid-certified Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID). The center aims to serve individuals with developmental and other disabilities. This solicitation seeks to enhance an outdoor area near a pond to create a therapeutic and serene atmosphere for residents.

Work Details
The contractor is required to add a retaining wall near the pond viewing area and grade the current viewing area. The project must ensure that no loose gravel, rock, or similar materials are left behind for safety reasons. The contractor must provide all necessary parts, labor, and fees associated with acquiring any required permits and engineering services. All work must be performed by trained personnel directly employed by the contractor. Subcontracting requires prior approval from NODC. The contractor must maintain a clean work area, using OSHA-approved barricades where necessary, and remove all refuse at the end of each workday.

Period of Performance
The contract is estimated to become effective on April 18, 2025, and will remain in effect through June 30, 2025, or until terminated as provided in the contract.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must hold all applicable licenses and certifications required to perform the duties needed for this project. They must not have any unresolved findings for recovery under Section 9.24 of the Ohio Revised Code. All personnel providing services at DODD facilities must pass a criminal background check and comply with drug-free workplace policies. Contractors are also required to comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
