FMC - Medical Equipment Rental and Repair

Background
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Corrections (ODRC) oversees the supervision of over 43,000 offenders in Ohio at 28 state prisons. The Franklin Medical Center (FMC) provides comprehensive inpatient medical services to approximately 250 incarcerated adult patients and is required by law to provide medical services to all patients in its care.

The mission of ODRC is to reduce recidivism among those they touch, with values that include taking care of staff, teamwork, civility, and hope.

Work Details
FMC is seeking an all-inclusive supplier for medical equipment rental and maintenance for the fiscal years 26-27, with an optional two biennium renewal period. The supplier will provide various medical equipment rentals including but not limited to:
- Alaris Sigma Infusion Pumps
- Nisus Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Pumps
- Alternating Low Air Loss Pressure Mattresses
- Hoyer Lifts
- Wheelchair Scales

Equipment will be billed daily from the day of placement until removal is requested. Maintenance services will also be required for various medical devices including Hill Rom beds and GE Optima CT560 PET/CT machines.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over the biennium fiscal years 26-27 with an option for two additional biennium renewals.

Franklin Medical Center, 1990 Harmon Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43223.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must comply with Executive Order 2019-12D prohibiting offshore services. They must complete background checks on employees working under this contract. Contractors are required to maintain appropriate insurance coverage including workers' compensation and general liability insurance. Additionally, contractors must be registered with the Ohio Secretary of State or exempt from registration requirements.
