FMC - Medical Equipment Rental and Repair

Background
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Corrections (ODRC) oversees the supervision of over 43,000 offenders in Ohio at 28 state prisons, including private prisons. The mission of ODRC is to reduce recidivism among those they touch.

The Franklin Medical Center (FMC) provides comprehensive inpatient medical services to approximately 250 incarcerated adult patients and outpatient specialty care services to hundreds of patients weekly. FMC is the primary prison hospital and is required by law to provide medical services to all patients in its care.

Work Details
FMC is seeking an all-inclusive supplier for medical equipment rental and maintenance for the biennium fiscal years 26-27, with an optional two biennium renewal period. The supplier will provide various medical equipment on a rental basis, with billing starting on the day of placement and ending upon request for removal.

Possible equipment rentals include:
- Alaris Sigma Infusion Pumps
- Nisus Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Pumps
- Alternating Low Air Loss Pressure Mattresses
- Trapeze
- Wheelchair Scales
- Hoyer Lifts
- High/Low Beds (Mental Health and Bariatric)
- Sit to Stand devices
- Various other medical equipment.

Additionally, the supplier will quote yearly maintenance and repair for items such as Hill Rom beds, CT injectors, EKG machines, infusion pumps, scales, AED machines, and more. All maintenance costs will be billed separately.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed during the biennium fiscal years 26-27 with an option for two additional biennium renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Franklin Medical Center located at 1990 Harmon Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43223.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Executive Order 2019-12D prohibiting offshore services. They must affirm that no services will be provided outside the United States and disclose locations where services will be performed. Contractors must also have necessary business permits and licenses as required by federal, state, and local laws.
