Description

Fleet-Heavy Duty Hydraulic System Repairs
Background
The City of Columbus, Division of Fleet Management, seeks to establish an indefinite quantity agreement with a qualified and experienced local vendor for the inspection, repair, and rebuilding of heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders, components, and systems used in City-owned vehicles and equipment.
The estimated dollar amount to be spent on this agreement is $50,000 annually for bidding purposes only.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
- Reseal/Repack Hydraulic Cylinders by disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, and resealing/repacking all types of hydraulic cylinders;
- Replace Cylinder Rods by removing and replacing damaged or worn cylinder rods, including re-chroming or manufacturing new rods as necessary;
- Repair Hydraulic Cylinder Components by repairing or replacing barrels, heads, pistons, and other related parts;
- Replace Holding Valves as required to maintain proper hydraulic system function;
- Rebuild Hydraulic Pumps through complete tear-down, inspection, reassembly, and functional testing to ensure OEM specifications;
- Flow Test Hydraulic Pumps to verify performance;
- Fabricate Hydraulic Hoses as needed;
- Supply New Cylinders when existing ones are non-repairable.

Period of Performance
The Agreement will expire one year from the date of execution with an option to renew for up to three (3) one-year periods based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services must be performed within the Columbus metropolitan area or Franklin County, Ohio.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must operate a facility located within the Columbus metropolitan area or Franklin County. They must maintain necessary certifications, insurances, and business licenses. Service work shall be done by properly trained and authorized service technicians.
