DYS TA Carpet Cleaning Services FY26-27

Background
The Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS) is seeking to award a contract for Professional Carpet Cleaning Services for the DYS Training Academy (TA). The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the facility, which serves youth in training programs. The awarded contract will cover services from August 15, 2025, through June 30, 2027, with an option for extension as determined by the agency.

Work Details
The vendor shall provide carpet cleaning services using low-moisture encapsulation and hot water extraction methods. Services will be performed in two areas: the 'pool room' (approximately 3,600 sq ft) and 'Cooper Hall' (approximately 13,000 sq ft), both featuring patterned carpet tile. The cleaning services are required quarterly. Specific tasks include:
- Quarterly low-moisture encapsulation.
- Quarterly hot water extraction.
- Hourly rate for emergency services as needed.
- Trip charge for service.

Period of Performance
The contract is set to begin on August 15, 2025, and will remain effective through June 30, 2027. There is an option for extension beyond this date as determined by the agency.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the DYS Training Academy located at 11781 SR 762 P.O. Box 240, Orient, Ohio 43146.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a response to each item outlined in the cost proposal and demonstrate their experience in providing similar services. They should also include any warranty or guarantee of work provided. Quotes must be valid for a minimum of sixty (60) days.
