District Three Boat Building Ceiling & HVAC

Background
The Division of Wildlife, part of the State of Ohio, is seeking bids for the installation of an interior metal ceiling and HVAC system in a three-bay storage building located at 912 Portage Lakes Drive, Akron, OH. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's heating capabilities and improve its overall functionality for wildlife management operations.

Work Details
The work is divided into two main components:

1) Installation of an interior metal ceiling (approximately 1,375 sq-ft) including insulation. The ceiling panels must be a white-painted steel liner panel with a thickness of 26-gauge or thicker. Panels are to be affixed using screw-in fasteners, and appropriate trim beads or moldings will be used for finishing edges. Adjustments may be needed for existing electrical fixtures and NM-B cables. An access door/panel (approximately 2' x 4') will also be installed for HVAC access. Insulation must be unfaced rockwool with R-values of R-38 or higher.

2) Installation of a propane-compatible ceiling-hung furnace rated at no less than 100,000 BTU, capable of heating the entire space evenly. The contractor must run a dedicated electrical circuit from the breaker panel to the furnace location, approximately 60-75 feet in length, which includes providing the correct breaker and conduit.

The contract work is to be completed by August 29, 2025.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must use licensed HVAC contractors registered in Ohio. All materials provided must be new and not reused or recycled. Vendors are required to obtain necessary permits from The Ohio Department of Commerce and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
