Dewatering Polymer for Wastewater Treatment

Background
The City of Cincinnati's Office of Procurement is issuing a contract for the purchase of dewatering polymer for wastewater treatment, specifically required by the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD). The goal of this contract is to ensure the effective treatment of wastewater through the use of specified polymers, which are essential for sludge dewatering processes. This procurement aims to maintain compliance with environmental standards while optimizing operational efficiency in wastewater management.

Work Details
The contractor will supply various types of polymers as follows:

- Emulsion Polymer for Mill Creek, Muddy Creek, Little Miami, and Werk and Westbourne High-Rate Treatment Plants;
- Dry Polymer for SSO 700 and Sycamore High Rate Treatment Plants.

Deliveries will be made in tanker trucks or totes depending on the facility's requirements. Specific delivery locations include:

- Mill Creek Treatment Plant: 1600 Gest Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45204
- Muddy Creek Treatment Plant: 6125 River Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45233
- Little Miami Treatment Plant: 225 Wilmer Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45226
- Werk and Westbourne High-Rate Treatment Plant: 5451 Werk Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45248
- SSO 700 High-Rate Treatment Plant and Sycamore High Rate Treatment Plant: delivered to Mill Creek.

The contractor must ensure that all products meet specified quality standards and provide samples for evaluation prior to contract acceptance. Each delivery must include a certified analysis listing the concentration of active ingredients. The contractor is also responsible for any necessary training related to polymer sampling during deliveries.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period begins on the effective start date and ends on May 31st, 2026. There are options for renewal for two additional twelve-month periods at the discretion of the City.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at multiple locations within Cincinnati, Ohio including Mill Creek Treatment Plant, Muddy Creek Treatment Plant, Little Miami Treatment Plant, Werk and Westbourne High-Rate Treatment Plant, SSO 700 High-Rate Treatment Plant, and Sycamore High Rate Treatment Plant.
