Background
The City of Cincinnati, through its Office of Procurement, is seeking bids for the purchase of dewatering polymer for wastewater treatment as required by the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD). This contract aims to ensure the effective treatment of wastewater through the provision of necessary polymer products, which play a critical role in the dewatering process. The contract supports the city's mission to maintain and improve water quality and environmental health.
Work Details
The contractor will supply emulsion and dry polymers for various wastewater treatment facilities operated by MSD. The specific requirements include:
- Delivery of emulsion polymer to Mill Creek, Muddy Creek, Little Miami, Werk, and Westbourne High-Rate Treatment Plant.
- Delivery of dry polymer to SSO 700 High-Rate Treatment Plant and Sycamore High Rate Treatment Plant.
- The polymers must meet specifications for sludge dewatering without lumps or impurities and should not require hot water for mixing.
- Each delivery must be accompanied by a certified analysis listing the concentration of active ingredients.
- A sample of approximately 1000ml of the oil base polymer product must be provided for evaluation at Mill Creek Plant before the bid due date.
- Deliveries will be made in tanker trucks or totes as specified per facility requirements, with all freight and delivery costs included in the bid price.
Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and will run until May 31, 2026, with options for two additional twelve-month renewals at the discretion of the City.
