Background
The City of Canton, Ohio is seeking qualifications from design-build firms for the Sears Building - Front Façade Repairs Project. The project aims to address the maintenance and aesthetic needs of the building's front façade, which is integral to the city's architectural heritage. The Owner's budget for this project is set at $230,000, excluding legal and permitting fees.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Design and construction services for labor, materials, and equipment necessary to caulk, tuck point, re-mortar, and replace terra cotta façade elements as needed on the front of the Sears Building.

2. Preliminary services including schematic design, design development, and construction documents.

3. Preconstruction services such as constructability reviews and cost estimating.

4. Permit acquisition and submission of a Guaranteed Maximum Price Proposal.

5. Construction services including soliciting bids from prequalified subcontractors, conducting construction supervision, quality assurance/quality control, progress scheduling, regular progress meetings, testing, inspection, commissioning, project close-out, and warranty obligations.

Period of Performance
The RFQ response deadline is set for 4:00 PM on October 30, 2024. The anticipated timeline for short-listing qualified firms is November 1, 2024. Further phases will lead to proposal submissions by November 15, 2024.
