D12- Overhead Clearance Bars

Background
The contract is issued for the procurement of Overhead Clearance Bars. The purpose of these devices is to prevent damage to facilities and overhead assets from moving vehicles. They are designed to enhance driver awareness of low clearance hazards, thereby reducing the risk of accidents in environments such as distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and parking structures.

Work Details
The contractor will provide 21 Overhead Clearance Bars that are 110V and alarmed. These bars are collapsible and can be customized with lettering such as 'LOWER TRUCK BED' to warn drivers. The specifications for the clearance bars include:
- Audible alarms (>100dB)
- Visible alarms (blinking, flashing, rotating beacon or light strip)
- Proximity sensors to detect impact before contact
- Motion sensors to differentiate between natural vibrations and impact
- A power requirement of constant 115Volt A/C power (preferred over battery)
- Adjustable lengths from 6’ to 10’
- Corrosion resistance
- A mounting kit with hardware.

The quantity breakdown includes: Cleveland FSMF4 (4), Euclid FSMF4 (4), Riveredge FSMF2 (2), Warrensville FSMF4 (4), District Garage1 (1), Middlefield FSMF4 (4), Painesville FSMF4 (4).

Period of Performance
The products are to be shipped as soon as possible after the purchase order is complete.

Place of Performance
The installation sites for these systems include Cleveland, Euclid, Riveredge, Warrensville, District Garage1, Middlefield, and Painesville.
