Description

Background
Columbus Public Health is seeking proposals from qualified coaching professionals or firms to provide individualized leadership coaching for approximately 15-20 staff members. The goal of the coaching sessions is to enhance leadership skills, build capacity to lead effectively, and support personal development in alignment with the principles taught in Leadership Academy. The program will include a 360-degree assessment, which is a core component of the Leadership Academy, to provide comprehensive feedback to participants.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for the following deliverables:

1. Coaching Sessions: Provide individualized coaching for each participant (in-person or virtual), focusing on the teachings and principles of the Leadership Academy. Topics include Communication & Critical Thinking, Systems Thinking and Managing Organizational Change, Coalition Building & Community Engagement. Coaching should include goal setting, skill development, and strategies to increase leadership effectiveness. Sessions should be personalized to individual needs while fostering group learning and collaboration. A standardized assessment is preferred.

2. 360-Degree Assessment: Administer a 360-degree assessment as part of the Leadership Academy teachings, providing participants with an in-depth analysis of their leadership strengths and areas for improvement based on feedback from colleagues, peers, and supervisors. Include a follow-up session with each participant to discuss their assessment results and formulate an action plan for leadership development.

3. In-Person Training: Conduct training in person over two full days with a detailed agenda that includes both individual coaching sessions and group discussions. The training should utilize interactive and experiential learning methods to engage participants and reinforce concepts learned. Ensure training allows each participant to apply their learning immediately in their leadership role.

4. Certification: Upon completion of the program, provide a Certificate of Completion to each participant reflecting their engagement and achievement in the coaching and leadership development program.

Period of Performance
The contract term begins on August 1, 2025, and ends on July 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at locations designated by Columbus Public Health for in-person training sessions.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must have a City of Columbus Contract Compliance Number; not be debarred or suspended from working on federally assisted projects; be registered with the Ohio Secretary of State; have proven experience in leadership coaching; expertise in administering 360-degree assessments; demonstrated success in delivering similar programs; capacity to deliver in-person training for 15-20 participants over two days; ability to create customized content based on the Leadership Academy framework; and a team of certified coaches (e.g., ICF, PCC) with relevant experience.
