Building Maintenance Wood Flattener #2

Background
The City of Columbus is seeking bids for the procurement of a Wood Flattener, specifically the Wood-Mizer Slabmizer MB200 or an approved equal.
The goal of this contract is to acquire equipment that meets specific operational specifications to enhance the city's maintenance and operations capabilities.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of a Wood-Mizer Slabmizer MB200 Wood Slab Flattener or an equivalent product that meets the following specifications:

1) Drill Motor - 3HP 2.2.KW 230V Single Phase Electric minimum;
2) Feed Motor - 1/6th HP 90RPM 230V 3PH with power feed controls or optional manual operation;
3) Max Material Thickness - 8-inch minimum;
4) Min Material Length - 22 inch minimum;
5) Max Material Length - 18 feet minimum with standard length of 13 feet and optional table extensions of 5 feet;
6) Max Material Width - 72 inch minimum;
7) Minimum Cut Depth - 1/64th inch with increments up to max cut;
8) Maximum Cut Depth - 1/8th inch;
9) Cutter Head - minimum of 5 inches with five four-sided carbide knives;
10) Sanding Head - minimum of 7-inch orbital with hook/loop paper;
11) Saw Dust Extraction Port - diameter of 3.5 inches;
12) Adjustable Height Table with adjustable clamps; and,
13) All manufacturer manuals including parts, service, and operation.

The successful bidder must ensure all components are compatible and demonstrate functionality prior to delivery.
Warranty coverage must be provided at no additional charge.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed upon award, and completion is expected upon delivery and acceptance of the equipment by the City of Columbus.

Place of Performance
The completed unit(s) must be delivered to the City of Columbus, Maintenance and Operations, located at 1533 Alum Industrial Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43209.
