Ballistic Helmets for WEB SWAT

Background
The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Safety and Justice Services is seeking quotes for ten (10) ballistic helmets intended for use by the WEB SWAT team.
The specifications have been developed to enhance the response capability of the team.

Work Details
The contract involves providing ten (10) ballistic helmets with the following specifications:
- Helmets must be low profile and capable of stopping all NIJ IIIA level threats, featuring impact protection and ballistic rated hardware.
- Must meet or exceed fragment performance of 17gr V50 > 2400 ft/sec (731 m/s).
- Equipped with a machined aluminum shroud/insert compatible with night vision equipment.
- Include an accessory rail connector system with slots for custom mounting, compatible with accessories using the picatinny system, allowing attachment of lights, cameras, or communication devices.
- Movable pads for impact protection must be included.
- Helmets should have boltless retention to minimize the number of holes in the ballistic shell.
- The total weight must not exceed 3 pounds across all sizing configurations, including helmet shell, shroud, accessory rails, impact liner, and retention system.
- Helmets must be black in color and high cut.
Cuyahoga County reserves the right to adjust the quantity by +/- 20% based on vendor bid pricing and funding availability.
