2026 Municipal Lawn and Landscape Maintenance

Background
The City of Grove City, through the City Administrator, is seeking bids for the 2026 Municipal Lawn and Landscape Maintenance Contract.
The purpose of this contract is to maintain various public properties, including parks and highway easements, as part of the city's commitment to enhancing community aesthetics and environmental health.

Work Details
The work includes bed and mowing maintenance for the following locations: Town Center, 3C Highway Easement Strip, City Owned Parks, and Public Properties.
Specific services include:
- Turf grass management
- Turf fertilization
- Weed control
- Edging and mulching
- Landscape bed detailing
- Tree fertilization
- Spring/fall cleanup
- Mowing
- Litter collection
- Other related work.

The contractor will perform approximately 28 mowings from April to November, ensuring a height of 3 inches for turf areas.
Core aeration will be conducted annually in September.
Fertilization will occur three times a year with specified nitrogen levels per 1000 square feet.
Additional tasks include cleaning beds of debris in spring, applying mulch at a depth of 2-3 inches without contact with tree trunks, and maintaining weed control through hand weeding and herbicide application.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to commence on April 1st and conclude on November 30th each contract year.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within Grove City, Ohio including Town Center and city-owned parks.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of current liability insurance, worker’s compensation compliance documentation, Federal and State Tax Identification Numbers (W-9), and a Custom Applicator License from the State of Ohio Department of Agriculture in categories 6a/c & 8.
Bidders are also required to submit a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a combined Bid/Performance bond or a certified check for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount.
